Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar Restaurant 30A – Gift Shop
We are currently hiring part-time to full-time Retail Sales Associate. This position is an in-person retail sales ar the Shunk Gulley Gift Shop.
Job Summary
The Retail Sales Associate plays a vital role at Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar 30A, serving as both the first and last impression for our guests. This position requires enthusiasm, excellent customer service skills, and a strong work ethic to support daily retail operations.
Responsibilities
Greet and engage all guests with professionalism and warmth
Inform customers about promotions, sales, and new merchandise
Build guest relationships through excellent service and honest recommendations
Accurately process sales transactions through the POS system
Stock, merchandise, and maintain the sales floor
Assist with receiving and processing incoming merchandise
Maintain organization and cleanliness in the retail space
Open and close the gift shop during operating hours
Perform additional duties as directed by management
Qualifications
Strong communication, interpersonal, cash handling, and computer skills
Ability to multitask while remaining attentive to guests and business needs
Team-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
Previous retail or customer service experience required, including product knowledge, upselling, and cash handling/POS skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years old
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and move continuously for extended periods
Frequent talking, listening, reaching, grabbing, and occasional stooping or climbing ladders
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Availability to work peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. This position will focus mostly on day shift coverage, from 10:30am to approximately 5pm.
