This position is essential in assisting the kitchen team with food preparation, cleaning, stocking, and maintaining high food safety and sanitation standards. Key Responsibilities
- Assist cooks and kitchen staff with basic food preparation, including washing, chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen workstations, storage areas, coolers, and equipment.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools promptly and thoroughly.
- Restock food, supplies, and kitchen inventory as needed throughout shifts.
- Remove trash and recycling and maintain cleanliness of waste disposal areas.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Help receive and organize deliveries, ensuring products are properly stored and labeled.
- Support opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Assist with other kitchen and prep tasks as assigned by management.
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
