Job Summary: Host – Shunk Gulley Restaurant

Shunk Gulley Restaurant is seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Host to join our team! As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists, seating guests efficiently, and assisting with guest inquiries—all while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a friendly first impression.
• Manage the seating chart and coordinate with servers to ensure efficient table turnover.
• Handle reservations and walk-in guests professionally and courteously.
• Communicate wait times accurately and keep guests updated.
• Assist with answering phone calls and providing information about the restaurant.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the host stand and front entrance area.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Previous hospitality or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
